About Claire
Classically trained in piano from the tender age of 5, Claire discovered her profound love for music through diverse avenues such as teaching, live performance, and composition. She embarked on her musical career as a passionate teenager in 2004, captivating audiences with her rock and pop performances across South East Asia. A distinguished graduate of both Berklee College of Music and CalArts, where she earned a Masters in Guitar, Claire has been imparting her knowledge in piano, guitar, and violin to a diverse age group of students—both children and adults. Her teaching approach is holistic, emphasizing not just technique, ear training, theory, and repertoire, but also fostering a nurturing environment. She aspires to share her love for music by encouraging her students to play pieces that resonate with them personally, while also nurturing their creativity through improvisation and compositional skills.

What can you teach me better on your instrument than any other teacher?
How to understand and have fun with music theory and how it will help you develop your own sound as a musician :)
How did you learn to play your instrument?
I studied classical piano and violin as a little kid!
What equipment do you play on today?
I play a '86 Fender Mustang Electric Guitar, Nord Electro 6 Keyboard, a Stainer Violin copy and a 2012 Mac Book Pro.

With care, respect, kindness and an open heart for the curiosities they have.
What has been your greatest experience as a musician so far?
Being able to travel the world and moving to the USA to be amongst great musicians!

2018 Pink Dot, Singapore.
