About Jeffrey
Originally from Wisconsin and Iowa, Jeff Ensign graduated with his bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa, where he played tuba and majored in Music Education. Ensign went on to be the band director in Boyd, Texas before he attended the University of North Texas for his masters and PhD. While in graduate school, Ensign taught piano, voice, guitar, trumpet, flute, and violin at the Dallas School of Music. In 2015 he completed his dissertation, “Form in Popular Song, 1990-2009.” For the past six years, Ensign was a lecturer in music theory and taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He recently moved to West Hollywood to pursue his dream of working in the music business.
