About Beryl R.

Beryl's teaching style emphasizes the importance of daily structured practice.  Setting goals is an important part of making progress, and she enjoys helping students find fun and creative ways to meet those goals!  While she believes music can be challenging, she also feels strongly that music is to be enjoyed.  Every student is different and every student finds joy in different ways.  Beryl hopes to uncover what aspects of music and life bring her students joy, and incorporate that into their musical journey together. Beryl Rosenblum is an LA-based composer for the screen and stage, as well as an award-winning classical pianist.  Originally from Montclair, New Jersey, Beryl attended Skidmore College as a Filene Music Scholar for classical piano. She has performed piano internationally for audiences in Italy, Belgium, and France, where she participated in piano and chamber music festivals.  Beryl later went on to study film scoring in Paris, France at the Ecole Normale de Musique with Béatrice Thiriet.  In 2022, she received an MFA in film scoring at Columbia College Chicago.
