Our Community

Music is meant to be shared.

At Craft Music, we believe that learning music is not only about what happens in a lesson. It is also about feeling connected: to a teacher, to other students and families, and to the larger culture of music.

We currently offer in-person lessons in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Portland, and each city is part of the broader Craft Music community. Los Angeles is our flagship city and currently offers the widest range of in-person events and gatherings, giving students and families even more ways to connect through music.

Annual Recital

Each year, we bring our community together for a larger in-person recital. This is a special opportunity for students to celebrate their progress, perform in a formal setting, and take part in a meaningful shared event with other Craft Music families.

Workshop Recitals

Workshop Recitals offer students the chance to share their work in a smaller, supportive environment. These gatherings help students build confidence, gain performance experience, and enjoy the process of making music alongside others.

A Real Musical Community

One of the great strengths of in-person lessons is that they connect students to a real musical life in their own city. Over time, lessons become part of something bigger: a network of teachers, families, performances, and shared artistic experiences.

At Craft Music, community is an essential part of learning. It brings warmth, motivation, and meaning to the work, and helps students grow not only as musicians, but as expressive and confident people.

If you want, I can also make this a little more elevated and luxury-feeling for the website.
