Want to learn how to make a rap beat? Or do you have songs that need enhancing via production? Either way, we'll run through the basics to the nitty gritty when it comes to producing inside the DAW.

I can guide you through the process of mixing a song and what that entails. We'll go through the fundamentals such as: EQ, compression, panning, balance, saturation. Then we'll start working on overarching creative approaches and expectations as a mixing engineer.

Vinnie Colaiuta. He is one of the most versatile drummer out there. His ability to play with incredible musicality while bringing a strong technical approach is one of the greatest challenges as a drummer.

How to find your voice on the kit. Being a killer drummer is part of the goal, but I want to guide you to find yourself. There's nothing more freeing than expressing yourself fully behind the kit.

I started when I was 8 years old. I immediately gravitated towards the drums during my first band class, and from there, I signed up for private lessons with Larry Saltzman, my first drum teacher. He took my passion farther than I ever could have imagined.

I have a Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maple with Meinl cymbals. For music production, I use a Yamaha keyboard and an Ableton Push to generate ideas.

Discipline and consistency. The motivation to hop on the kit will change from day to day, but discipline and consistent practice is what leads to tremendous results.

I love working with children. Patience is the key. I always approach things methodically and with a relaxed pace.

Watching Tigran Hamasyan perform. The performance reminded me how amazing it is to be a musician.

Health and family. I'm very grateful for those.

That's a tough one because there are so many good ones that I'm constantly shifting between. If I had to pick right now, it would have to be Nefertiti by Miles Davis. That record transcends all musical expectation.

All styles. I started out with rock and moved over to other genres in this order: metal -> jazz -> orchestral -> latin -> african -> fusion. I find myself playing mostly fusion these days because the genres blends all other genres and styles.

All ages. I have taught ages 4-65.

I have performed with Austin Wintory. We performed his soundtrack for the video game Journey.

I'm obsessed with making the perfect cup of coffee. I also love biking and lifting.
