About Anj
Anj is an active Los Angeles-based multi-instrumental musician and music educator. She has been directing and teaching music for over 15 years, and has her B.Mus. from the USC Thornton School of Music and an M.A. in Composition for Visual Media from the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music.
Anj is a quintessential educator and teaches brass, woodwinds, piano, voice, recording/ production/audio engineering, and music theory/improvisation/ composition.
Anj works with each of her students to build a foundation in solid technique, while incorporating creative activities and relevant pieces. She prides herself on being a friendly, patient teacher, and adapts her teaching to her students' interests, helping them to own their musical journey and meet their goals!
Anj has performed at venues from the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Bluewhale jazz club in downtown Los Angeles, Wanderlust Hollywood, and the The Octopus Literary Salon in Oakland.
