Effective Date: April 5, 2026 • Last Updated: April 5, 2026

This Online Lesson, Communications, and Recording Policy (“Lesson Policy”) applies to all online lessons, lesson rooms, messaging, support interactions, uploads, files, and related activity made available through Craft Music.

By booking, purchasing, scheduling, joining, attending, participating in, or otherwise using online lessons or lesson-related communications through Craft Music, you agree to this Lesson Policy.

If you are booking or managing lessons for a minor, you agree to this Lesson Policy on behalf of that minor and represent that you are authorized to do so.

1. Scope

This Lesson Policy applies to:

  • adult students,
  • parents and guardians of minor students,
  • teachers,
  • and any other person participating in an online lesson or lesson-related communication through Craft Music.

2. Parent / Guardian Responsibility

If a minor participates in an online lesson, the parent or legal guardian is responsible for:

  • enrolling the minor;
  • providing all necessary permissions and consents;
  • supervising the minor where appropriate;
  • ensuring that the minor uses the Service appropriately; and
  • ensuring that the minor and any household participant understand this Lesson Policy.

3. Lesson Operations

Craft Music may use online lesson rooms, communications tools, scheduling tools, and related systems to host, support, document, and review lessons.

Teachers, students, and parents/guardians must use only the tools, lesson rooms, and communications channels authorized by Craft Music for lesson-related activity unless Craft Music expressly authorizes another method.

Craft Music may cancel, reschedule, reassign, pause, or otherwise adjust lessons and lesson access where reasonably necessary for technical, operational, trust and safety, support, or policy reasons.

4. Monitoring and Operational Processing

Craft Music and its authorized service providers may monitor, review, analyze, store, and retain lesson-related activity and communications, including:

  • lesson-room activity,
  • messages and chat,
  • screen shares,
  • uploads and files,
  • lesson notes,
  • support communications, and
  • related session metadata and technical data.

5. Recording Through Authorized Platform Tools

Recording is not always on by default.

Craft Music may enable teachers, adult students, or parents/guardians of minor students to initiate recording of certain lessons or lesson-related communications through authorized platform tools.

When recording is initiated through the platform, Craft Music and its authorized service providers may process, store, review, transcribe, analyze, and retain the resulting recordings and related session data for the purposes described in this Lesson Policy and the Privacy Policy.

6. Company Purposes

Craft Music may use lesson-related data, communications, and recordings for the following Company Purposes:

  • operating and delivering the Service;
  • account and lesson administration;
  • scheduling and support;
  • quality assurance and quality review;
  • technical troubleshooting;
  • safety, fraud prevention, and policy enforcement;
  • internal analytics and service improvement;
  • review of complaints, disputes, and support issues;
  • teacher and platform performance review;
  • internal recordkeeping and administration; and
  • legal compliance and protection of rights, users, and property.

Craft Music does not sell personal information collected through lessons and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Disclosure Restrictions

Lesson recordings, lesson data, and lesson communications may be disclosed only as described in Craft Music’s Privacy Policy, including to service providers, contractors, processors, advisors, and legal authorities as reasonably necessary to operate, support, secure, and legally administer the Service.

8. No Unauthorized Participant Recording

Participants may not independently record, livestream, copy, screenshot, scrape, download, or redistribute lesson sessions, lesson communications, or related content except through features and permissions expressly authorized by Craft Music.

9. Technical Issues

Online lessons depend on internet connectivity, devices, software, and third-party tools. Craft Music does not guarantee uninterrupted performance of any lesson room, video tool, or communications feature.

Craft Music may, in its discretion, determine whether a technical issue justifies rescheduling, a credit, a partial credit, or no adjustment.

10. Conduct

All participants must behave respectfully and lawfully. Harassment, abusive conduct, discriminatory conduct, inappropriate communications, misuse involving minors, unauthorized sharing of recordings, or other misconduct may result in removal from the lesson, suspension, termination, or other action by Craft Music.

11. If You Do Not Consent

If you do not consent to the monitoring, review, analysis, retention, and recording practices described in this Lesson Policy, do not book, join, or participate in online lessons through Craft Music.
