About Alberto R.

Alberto Rosito is a talented French Horn player from Los Angeles, California, with a diverse musical background. His passion for music began in high school, where he was deeply moved by performances from the school’s mariachi ensemble and brass quintet, particularly a stirring rendition of “Amor Eterno” and “Salvation is Created,” which featured the French horn. Although his primary focus is the French horn in classical music, Alberto is also an accomplished trumpet player, performing in genres such as Afro-Latin, Jazz, and Mariachi.  Alberto earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from the University of California, Riverside (UCR), where he studied French horn with Audrey Lamprey and Lisa Cherry. During his time at UCR, he served as Principal Horn of the UCR Orchestra under Dr. Ruth Charloff and also a member of the UCR Concert Band, led by Dr. Samuel Andress. He played in the UCR Jazz Ensemble under Professor Josh Welchez and the UCR Mariachi Los Alteños, directed by Laura Sobrino and Cynthia Flores.  Currently, Alberto is pursuing a Master’s degree in French horn performance at California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA), where he studies with Nathan Campbell and Jenny Kim. He has served as Principal Horn in the Olympia Youth Orchestra and is a member of both the CSULA Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, as well as the CSULA Trombone Choir. He is also a member of the esteemed Loyola Law School Orchestra, having performed with them at a range of venues including the famous Walt Disney Concert Hall.  With aspirations to become a music educator, Alberto plans to earn his teaching credentials and share his love for musical performance with future generations.
