About Anna C.

Our violin teacher, Anna Corcoran, teaches classical violin and fiddle, and brings her can-do attitude and warm, approachable teaching style to the studio. She has a wealth of experience and talent and is an inspiration for students of all ages. Anna is a professional violinist and has played in orchestras and chamber ensembles around the world. Anna earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and a Master of Music degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. She performs with ensembles such as Orchestra Santa Monica, Long Beach Symphony, New West Symphony and the Santa Barbara String Quartet. Anna’s favorite musicians include Pinchas Zukerman, Jascha Heifetz, Jacqueline du Pre, Alasdair Fraser, Natalie Haas, and Ella Fitzgerald. Fun fact: When not teaching loves floral design.
