I studied in a jazz big band for 3 years. I enjoy studying difficult scales and chords, like G7b9, and have plenty of publications describing these jazzier chords and scales. I frequently use iRealPro, which provides limitless jazz songs in every key, tempo, difficulty and style.

A large part of my publications are trying to make music theory visual, intuitive, playable and practical. The publications I have created are designed to be a thorough catalog of scales and chords. I have completed doctoral level music theory courses.

Graduating Peabody Conservatory was important to me, it has the 2nd oldest guitar program in America. Another achievement I am proud of is receiving an assistantship at Towson University, along with two other merit-based awards. I am proud of reaching over 500,000 views on YouTube. I am excited that I am building out my website, and there are free previews of everything I have ever created (audio or PDF), useful for organization of my curriculum.

I’ve expanded my background in music with a strong focus on business, quantitative automated trading, and financial analysis. Both trading and music rely on identifying patterns, timing, and structure, translating data into decisions that resonate in real-world outcomes. Both portray emotions in math.

I performed as a choir member with the The Lyric Baltimore in a production of Carmina Burana, one of Maryland’s most prominent performing arts venues, known for hosting opera, symphonic, and large-scale productions. I also participated in a large-scale showcase at Towson University, featuring the full music department. The diversity of styles and performers drew a substantial audience and created a packed concert environment.

Chopin. Perfect combination of someone who knows all the rules and yet breaks them often for emotional effect. Very rich vocabulary of the musical language, as if he is a classical musician with jazz chords, with seamless key changes, as if every chord or scale in music is possible at all times. Often classical music feels research based, Chopin is not that kind of composer, it is very emotional.

Better interpretation in regards to rhythm, volume, song structure and phrasing. We musicians tend to forget: the audience judges storytelling far more than anything else. Reading music is challenging, especially on guitar, but using my system that is scaffolded and slowly increases in difficulty, it becomes manageable. Fingerstyle guitar. I trained through private study with five guitar teachers, most with classical backgrounds and one specializing in jazz and pop. Weekly guitar masterclasses played a major role in my development, regularly performing for other guitarists with frequent feedback. This feels like being taught by multiple guitar teachers at once and the advice given was extremely influential in my playing, coming from so many different prospectives.

Schecter 24 fret guitar, which is like a futuristic looking telecaster, with Line 6 Helix guitar effects processor. I'll use an Ibanez nylon string or Ibanez jazz guitar if I want a different tone and playing more light-hearted music. The Helix is perfect for a guitar teacher since I can save presets after genres of music. I often share my screen of DAW Logic Pro X, to show students various signal chains. I can give you my opinions on when to use digital, and when it is worth it to spend your hard-earned money on analog.

Patience. I have a predictive mindset and that is my "super power" in music. If the song doesn't change key, then I already know what is about to happen. Years of studying quantitative trading wires my mind for this. For example, the next time you are playing music, notice how often a punctuation mark would happen in multiples of 4 measures. That is why knowing fundamentals like the back of your hand is crucial, eventually music becomes so well rehearsed that it feels like talking.

MIDI pickups, they turn guitar audio into sheet music, TAB, diagram or into an entirely different instrument patch! Why more guitarists don't turn their guitar into a synth is a bit surprising since it is quite fun to play around with, and they are great for home studio songwriting inspiration in more ways than one.

I lean more visual, imitative and improvisation type exercises, with a lot of background music to encourage experimentation and excited communication. I ask them to complete a simple exercise while looking down at their hands, so I'm putting much more of an emphasis on improving their fine motor skills. I have dozens of nursery rhymes notated for guitar. I also worked at a Middle School, which gave me lots of insights into classroom and behavior management.

Probably the most enjoyable experiences have been rehearsal and performing in my band.

Maybe Chopin nocturnes since they would take ages to analyze anyways. If not that, then one of the later Beatles albums.

Family is important to me. Video and photo editing is also a big part of my life. I think self-sovereignty is an important and recurring theme in my life. I try to align myself with start-up companies that are poised to change the world.

I especially teach pop, rock, metal, blues, reggae, classical, and jazz. I specialize in fingerstyle guitar, arranging songs so melody and chords are played together. This allows students to perform full solo versions that sound complete on one instrument, while keeping the melody clear, ideal for guitarists who prefer instrumental playing but still want recognizable solo covers.

I enjoy all but if I had a preference it would be older teenager 13-20 and retired 70+.

I currently perform with the reggae-rock band Intuitive Minds United. I also perform solo performing classical, jazz and pop repertoire. I have a passion for creating music method books and routinely refine the music books I have written. Other projects I have been doing is creating beats for clients, turning songs into MIDI data and filming music videos. Featured masterclass soloist by these classical guitar professors: Meng Su, Irina Kilikova, Troy King, Ray Chester and James Hontz.

I enjoy creating backing tracks and have a futuristic vision of backing tracks that are vague for improvisation while other backing tracks are highly detailed with exact melody notes and theory annotations. I write computer code to arrange music at a more efficient pace. In python code, I created a one-click piano to guitar tool that saves time from tedious work, and start making actual artistic decisions much sooner. I plan on making more many more recordings.
