About Claire C.
Classically trained in piano from the tender age of 5, Claire discovered her profound love for music through diverse avenues such as teaching, live performance, and composition. She embarked on her musical career as a passionate teenager in 2004, captivating audiences with her rock and pop performances across South East Asia. A distinguished graduate of both Berklee College of Music and CalArts, where she earned her Bachelor's in Music Production and Engineering, and a Masters in Guitar, Claire has been imparting her knowledge in piano, guitar, violin and songwriting/composition to a diverse age group of students—both children and adults. Her teaching approach is holistic, emphasizing not just technique, ear training, theory, and repertoire, but also fostering a nurturing environment. She aspires to share her love for music by encouraging her students to play pieces that resonate with them personally, while also nurturing their creativity through improvisation and compositional skills.
