Emily Kocontes is a Los Angeles-based vocalist, songwriter, and recording artist with extensive experience across performance, composition, and music education. A graduate of the USC Popular Music Program with an emphasis in songwriting, Emily has built a dynamic career spanning studio recording, live performance, songwriting and artistry. Her collaborative work includes releases alongside acclaimed artists such as JORDY, Phantogram, Conor Maynard, Grace VanderWaal, Subtronics, and others, reflecting her versatility and standing within the industry. In addition to her music career, Emily is a dedicated educator with experience teaching students ages six and up. Drawing on her professional background, she designs personalized curricula in voice, piano, and songwriting — tailored to each student's unique goals and learning style. Her teaching philosophy centers on fostering creativity, building technical foundation, and making music an engaging and joyful pursuit.
