I can teach students how to express what the music demands: whether it is a narrative, an emotional statement, or a soundscape. Learning how to identify and communicate what the music is trying to express teaches a student how to have a focused and meaningful approach to what they are playing.

I learned the Horn through singing. Because the horn has so many partials, I began to think of each finger combination as passageways to different notes. I learned to know exactly what I was playing before I set down any fingers.

I currently play on a custom Durk French Horn.

Singing! It is incredible how quickly musician's understanding and accuracy improves when they can sing what is on the page. They do not have to be opera-ready to access the musical comprehension that singing develops.

The horn teaches patience more than many instruments. Progress is often non-linear, with plateaus followed by sudden periods of swift improvement. This is why developing overall musicianship alongside horn study is so important—so even when technical progress feels slow, students are still growing as musicians.

I provide a space for them to be curious and excited about the music they're learning, while providing gentle structure and redirection when they become distracted.

Discovering how personal music is to every individual, and how collaborative music can be when individuals come together to create something greater than themselves.

I primarily teach classical music, with a focus on fundamental skills that are transferable across many musical genres.

My family is central in my life. Not only are they pillars of strength, but they are a constant source of joy. I also value learning because maintaining a curiosity about the world and its possibilities keeps my life meaningful and engaging.

I enjoy teaching students of all ages who are eager to learn. I specialize in teaching adults and high-school students.

I recently presented my Master’s recital in music composition, which featured my thesis work: a piano quintet. Earlier this year, I performed Vaughan Williams’ Dona Nobis Pacem at the Meyerson alongside my colleagues. Last year, my piano trio received its international premiere by Vienna’s Trio Immersio.

I am currently writing a choral work based on Hermann Hesse's Poem, "Knarren Eines Geknickten Astes".

I recently acquired my Masters of Music from Southern Methodist University.

I am an avid reader, runner, and board game enthusiast.
