About Nina K.
Nina Kassis is an acclaimed Greek-American lyric soprano known for her luminous tone, expressive artistry, and versatility across operatic and contemporary repertoire. She has performed internationally, with highlights including Carnegie Hall, where she sang the Queen of the Night in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, as well as Lincoln Center and the Kauffman Music Center, alongside appearances in Argentina and Italy. In 2024, she made her Teatro Molarcchi debut in Perugia as Musetta in La Bohème, following her portrayal of the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor at Teatro Avenida in Argentina. Her repertoire includes roles such as Violetta (La Traviata), Liù (Turandot), and Micaëla (Carmen), with past performances as Gilda (Rigoletto), Adina (L’Elisir d’Amore), and Elvira (I Puritani). She studied at the Manhattan School of Music and earned her Master’s from Hunter College, with further training at the Centro Universale del Bel Canto and Mozarteum University Salzburg. She has collaborated with renowned mentors, performed with Mikis Theodorakis’s orchestra throughout Greece, and participated in distinguished jazz collaborations , blending classical technique with improvisational artistry. A dedicated teacher for over 10 years, Nina specializes in bel canto technique, working with students of all ages and levels in opera, jazz, musical theater, R&B, and pop, fostering healthy, expressive, and confident singing.
