My goals are to continue expanding my chamber music performances and opera recitals with vocalists to different venues in the Los Angeles area

I am proud of earning my doctorate of musical arts at Arizona State University in 2020 where my final dissertation project involved collaborating with a graduate student composer in a combined written and performance project. We worked together on creating a chamber music song cycle based on poems of Emily Dickinson that I performed with colleagues in a lecture recital.

I enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking , swimming, going to concerts, reading, and cooking.

I teach piano and voice for beginning to advanced levels, focusing on technique, music theory, sight reading , and performance skills

The biggest stage I played on was at the Thousand Oaks Perfoming Arts Center in Southern California. I performed with a vocalist and movie star Dick Van Dyke was part of the act as well in a benefit for local high school choral programs hosted by Van Dyke.

I've always admired the violinist Joshua Bell and I would love to play duo sonatas by Beethoven with him.

Pianist Martha Argerich has always inspired me with her intense, fiery musicality and formidable piano technique.

I am particularly effective at helping each individual student hone their technique, overcome any technical hurdles that come up in learning more advanced repertoire, and helping each student find a uniquely tailored approach that fits them, since each musician has different strengths to be developed.

I always enjoyed piano music and asked for lessons when I was ten. I took naturally to reading notes, taught myself and started sight reading on my own to supplement what I worked on in lessons.

I mostly play on acoustic pianos but am fluent in using keyboards to utilize different sounds in pop and musical theater styles.

I developed a good sense of patience to keep working on improving my skills one step at a time, and how to celebrate each small achievement.

The piano has a wide range of colors and effects, it can be used to imitate an orchestra!

I try to connect to each child's sense of independent learning so they are actively involved, and help them connect to music they like so they enjoy learning and practicing. For younger children I switch activities or pieces faster to keep their interest.

I have had a lot of great experiences but always enjoy my different chamber music projects and performances and also gained a lot from playing keyboard in ensembles in musical theater productions.

That is hard to choose but to have a variety of sounds I would choose a chamber music album including piano with several contrasting styles from Mozart to Brahms.

I love animals so helping organizations that rescue animals, and promoting awareness of green practices to preserve our environment, organic gardening and cultivating fruit trees.

Most of my training is classically based, but I also teach, pop, blues, and musical theater styles for piano and voice.

I enjoy helping students of all ages connect to music and find their potential from young beginners to advanced teens and adults or adult beginners.
